Multi-model seasonal forecasts

We are working on developing innovative techniques for multi-model combination in order to achieve the highest possible accuracy for seasonal climate forecasts. Multi-model ensembles include forecasts produced by climate models developed independently by the European, American and Asian scientific communities.
In particular, we use data available on the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) Climate Data Store, to which we also contribute by improving the quality and efficiency of the C3S Evaluation and Quality Control (EQC)  process through efficient and timely quality control of C3S climate datasets, improving the overall architecture and existing EQC infrastructure within the Copernicus programme, and consolidating, harmonising and simplifying the EQC framework, including its methodologies, procedures and results.
Climate information obtained from seasonal forecasts are also used at national level to meet the needs of institutional users at central and regional level, with a particular focus on forecasts of available water resources.
