Education: Degree in Geological Sciences, University of Firenze (Italy), 1994 - visiting scientist at the Departamento de Geologia, Universidade Federal do Paranà (Brasil), 1997 - PhD in Earth Sciences, University of Siena (Italy), 1998.
She is a scientific researcher since 1995 concerning remote sensing, geographical information systems, engineering geology and geomorphology. She was employed at the UN-FAO as special service agreement and worked as temporary staff at the engineering geology group of the University of Firenze carrying out researcher on landslides, risk analysis and geohazard assessment. Since 2010 she got a permanent position as researcher in ENEA: current activities rely on the geographical information systems applications, studies of landslide hazard, risk analysis, environmental assessment and investigations of climate change effects on geohazards. She is author of more than 40 peer-review publications (national and international), and several technical/scientific reports. She participated to several national and international projects for environmental assessment, monitoring and disaster prevention.
